Refund Policy — StormLookup

We want you to know exactly what you'll get. Before you buy, you can [view a free sample report] and see our Disclaimers.
Single reports ($7.99)
A single report is non-refundable once it has been generated, except when something went wrong because of us. If, within 14 days of purchase, you tell us that any of the following happened, we'll fix the report and re-issue it, or refund it if we can't:
- the report didn't generate, didn't download, or was corrupted, and we can't fix it within 2 business days;
- you were charged more than once for the same report;
- the report is for a different address than the one you entered, because of our error (for example, a geocoding mistake we can confirm);
- the report misstates a source record because of a mistake in our own data processing (for example, a wrong distance, date, or unit conversion).
To request this, email hello@stormlookup.com from your account email with the order number, the address you entered, and what went wrong (a screenshot helps). We'll reply within 2 business days.
What doesn't qualify: reports that correctly show few or no recorded events, or events you expected to see that aren't in the public datasets. Public NOAA/NWS records can be incomplete or delayed, and our Disclaimers explain this before you buy. [PLACEHOLDER — optional goodwill policy: "If your report finds no recorded events, we'll give you one free report credit." Business decision; not yet decided.]
Subscriptions
This section covers Pro ($29/month or $290/year) and Team ($79/month or $790/year) plans.
- You can cancel anytime online at Account → Billing → Cancel subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for (the month, or the year on annual plans): your plan won't renew, and you keep access until then.
- No partial refunds. We don't refund the unused part of a monthly or annual period, including when you cancel partway through an annual plan, except as described in this policy or where the law requires.
- Annual renewals. We email a reminder at least 15 and no more than 30 days before each annual renewal charge (see Terms Section 4).
- Forgot to cancel a monthly plan? If you're charged for a monthly renewal and haven't generated any reports since that charge, contact us within 7 days of the charge and we'll refund that renewal in full.
- Forgot to cancel an annual plan? If you're charged for an annual renewal you didn't want and haven't run any reports since that renewal, contact us within 14 days of the renewal charge and we'll refund it in full and cancel the plan.
- Overage. Reports past the 300-per-month allowance are charged ($0.99 each) only if you turned on overage (see Terms Section 4). Overage is billed at the end of each monthly cycle. Extra reports you turned on and used aren't refundable, except for our errors; for those, the single-report error process above applies (14 days, same request steps). If you were charged for overage you didn't turn on, we'll refund it.
- Plan and user changes. Upgrades are prorated: unused time on your old plan is credited toward the new plan. Before we charge for an upgrade or an added user, we show the price and ask you to confirm, and we email a confirmation (see Terms Section 4). Downgrades and removed Team users take effect at your next renewal, with no refund for the current period.
- If we raise the price without the notice our Terms promise, or charge you after you cancelled, we'll refund the charge.
- If we discontinue the Service, we'll refund the unused part of any prepaid period.
How to request a refund
Email hello@stormlookup.com from your account email with your order number and the reason. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within [5–10] business days, depending on your bank.
Chargebacks
Please contact us first; we can usually fix billing issues faster than a card dispute.
Your legal rights
This policy doesn't limit any rights you have under the law, including the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices–Consumer Protection Act.
Language
This policy is available in English and Spanish. If the versions conflict, the English version controls, except where the law requires otherwise.
