Privacy Policy — StormLookup

This policy explains what TWISTED JESTER INC ("StormLookup," "we") collects through https://stormlookup.com and our reports, how we use it, and your choices. StormLookup is launching with a Texas-first soft launch.
1. What we collect

What we don't collect: We don't look up or store property owners' names, phone numbers, or other personal information about the people at the addresses you search. Our reports describe weather at a place and time, not people. We do not look up other people's contact details for the addresses you search.
2. How we use it
- To create your account, generate and deliver reports, and keep a report history for you.
- To process payments, renewals, refunds, and taxes.
- To send transactional emails (receipts, renewal and price-change notices, cancellation confirmations).
- To send product news or offers only if you opt in. We do not send marketing email unless you have asked for it (for example, by checking an opt-in box). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email. Every marketing email includes our postal address and an unsubscribe link; we honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. Unsubscribing doesn't stop receipts, renewal reminders, or other account notices.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms, and keep the Service secure.
- To understand and improve how the site is used.
3. Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use advertising pixels. We share information only with:
- Service providers that work for us under contract: payment processing (Stripe), hosting and security (Cloudflare), email delivery ([PLACEHOLDER: email provider]), analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics).
- Geocoding. To turn an address into a map point, we send the address (without your name) to the U.S. Census Bureau Geocoder, a free public government service. To find the local time zone, we send only the resulting map point (not the address) to the National Weather Service (api.weather.gov).
- Other businesses. We do not share your information with any other business unless you ask us to.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: if the business is sold or merged, subject to this policy.
4. How long we keep it
- Account and billing records: while your account is open and for [PLACEHOLDER: e.g., 7] years after, for tax and accounting.
- Addresses you looked up and generated reports: [PLACEHOLDER: e.g., while your account is open so you can re-download reports, then deleted or de-identified within __ days of account closure].

5. Cookies
We use cookies needed to log you in and keep checkout secure. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is designed not to use advertising cookies or track you across sites. We don't use advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the site may not work.
6. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires (for Texas, see Bus. & Com. Code §521.053).
7. Your choices and rights
- You can view and update your account information in [Account settings].
- You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop marketing emails, by writing to hello@stormlookup.com. We'll respond within [45] days. We may keep records the law requires us to keep.
- Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under state privacy laws. We won't discriminate against you for using them.
8. Children
The Service is for adults (businesses and homeowners) and isn't directed to anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes
We'll post changes here and update the date above. If a change is material, we'll email account holders before it takes effect.
10. Language
This policy is available in English and Spanish. If the versions conflict, the English version controls, except where the law requires otherwise.
